Growing up in Burlington, I was always interested in photography. After receiving my first camera, the "Kodak Pocket Instamatic" in the early 70's, I was in heaven. Doing whatever I needed to do to get the composition I wanted. From climbing trees to wading into the middle of a river, I was going to get the shot. In my teens I received my first SLR camera and my creativity just started to flow.
As a sophomore in high school I received my first photo assignment. I was now a "Yearbook Photographer". Seeing my images published, and the accolades that followed was so rewarding. Years later, I attended Champlain College where I was an assistant to the school photographer. I ended up graduating with a degree in Entrepreneurship.
After graduating, my wife Wanda and I saw a need in the Burlington area for a food delivery service that delivered more than pizza and wings, so we created "Menu's on The Move". The first restaurant delivery service in Vermont. Our second year in business we received the honor of being voted the "The Best New Service in Vermont" Burlington Free Press Awards. While running "Menu's" I never stopped doing photography. Constantly shooting family and friends, along with landscapes, which I loved doing. We ended up selling the business after 8 years and I went back to photography full time, this time as a business.
When I started my photography business, like most photographers, I started off photographing a little bit of everything. I was doing portraits, chasing brides, chasing pets and some Architectural work for the Home Builders and Remodelers of Vermont. After 10 years, I decided on shooting strictly Architectural and Interior photography. I started to learn everything I could regarding Architectural Photography and what it took to perfect my images. That's when I discovered Mike Kelly. Mike, who graduated from U.V.M., and is now a top Architectural photographer in Los Angeles, was a huge inspiration for me. His knowledge and techniques seem boundless. Aspiring to be the very best, I will always continue to learn everything I can to keep improving my work.
I've always had a love for architecture and I'm so fortunate to be able to showcase other peoples creativeness with my own artistry.
